Feeds and Speeds Monitoring and Verifying NC Planning

The TDM Feeds & Speeds Manager (FSM) together with the Comara-Box are a combination of hardware and software for the acquisition, compression and evaluation of driven cutting data directly from the machine. This means that NC planners can now, for the first time, automatically obtain feedback on the quality of the NC programs created and evaluate the process data. This direct acquisition and determination of the cutting data opens up extensive possibilities for improving the cutting data and the entire NC planning. The pre-selected data is summarized and processed and evaluated with the FSM. This allows you to close the gap between planning and production and to secure cutting know-how with a standard software. How do you determine your driven cutting data? With TDM Feeds and Speeds Manager you build a standardized verification process of NC programs by evaluating and comparing planned and driven cutting values. The Comara-Box is a standard industrial PC that is connected directly to the machine control via an interface and selects and condenses the tool-specific machine cutting data. Through an interface, the data reaches the TDM database and is evaluated and visualized with the TDM Feeds & Speeds Manager and saved by the user as technology data for the respective complete tool. The Feeds & Speeds Manger is a standard solution that is easy to implement and offers you enormous potential for improvement through the return flow and evaluation of the actual cutting data.

Functions of the TDM Feeds & Speeds Manager

Data acquisition from the machine:
- Generation of a data record per each tool, NC program and accrued cutting data
- Recording of start time and end of a machining process and of the tool use
- The feed rate, speed and cutting speed are recorded with the maximum and minimum driven values; the override value is also taken into consideration
Clearly structured dashboard: Evaluations of the data based on the machines and different criteria, such as the machining processes with the greatest differences from planning

Back up of driven values: Selected cutting data can therefore be created as a new technology data record for the corresponding tool assembly in TDM
Creation of tool lists: The driven tools per NC order and machine can be created as a tool list in TDM
New approach for data creation: The TDM database can be populated with the data that is available from the machine – an ideal basis for later completion
Visualizing saving potentials: Comparison of the planned target and driven actual values, and display of the possible saving potentials in %
