Since the day when the idea for digital tool management was born (1987), TDM software has been developed in-house in Tübingen. Today, multiple development teams with various qualifications are developing software for comprehensive Tool Lifecycle Management. Digital tool data and 2D/3D graphics
These were the focus of TDM development from the beginning and they remain important factors in metal cutting today in the age of Industrie 4.0. We know which tool data is important for each process in the company and which tool data and graphic requirements networked systems such as ERP/PLM/CAM, crib and machine have. Our system is designed to meet these requirements. In collaboration with TDM users, TDM Systems has developed its own classification of the tools according to class and group. This classification is compatible with international classifications such as GTC/DIN/ISO13399. We are the first software company to focus on providing 3D tool data for planning and simulation systems and we offer technically mature solutions.
Software integration as the basis of data exchange
TDM Systems employs a strategy of openness so that all relevant processes are digitally networked and TDM-software can be integrated into virtually any system environment. Therefore, we offer a wide variety of interfaces to other systems in production-related areas. The flow of data back from the shopfloor or the machine to TDM is also used for consistent improvement of planning processes and production results.

TDM Systems has been a Microsoft Gold partner since the end of 2015 and therefore has know-how available of the Microsoft standards and technologies used worldwide. This certification forms a cornerstone of TDM's development know how and reaffirms the company's leading position in software development.
